do’s & donT’s when creating a budget

When doing you budget be sure to sure to know what your needs are so you know where to focus your money on.

Things you cannot live without such as a roof over your head, food and utilities for your home.

Your wants are non-essential, you can live without them such as monthly subscriptions to streaming services or eating out often.

Make sure you go back and track your budget to see if you are over or right on target for your monthly budget and assess if you need to make changes.

Don’t deprive yourself of entertainment for your well-being, add it to the budget even if it’s a small amount.

Don’t forget about Murphy’s Law, if something can go wrong, it will. Put some money aside for when the unexpected comes such as losing your job, occasional holiday gifts, appliances & car breaking down etc.
